This document compiles major national Rottweiler breed clubs and associations from around the world (many affiliated with the International Federation of Rottweiler Friends – IFR), along with prominent Rottweiler rescue organizations. It is not an exhaustive list of every local club or rescue group. National clubs are excellent resources for breed information, breeder referrals, events, and often rescue guidance in their country. For rescues, regional groups handle most adoptions; the organizations below can help locate help in your area.
International Organizations
International Federation of Rottweiler Friends (IFR)
A worldwide federation uniting national Rottweiler clubs. Focuses on breed standard preservation, health, working dog sports (IGP/IFH), international championships, and cooperation among members. Many national clubs listed below are IFR members.

Rottweiler Rescue Groups & Organizations
Most Rottweiler rescues are regional or local nonprofits. The groups below are well-established and can often assist with locating resources in other areas or provide guidance. National breed clubs (above) are also good points of contact for rescue referrals in their respective countries. Always research thoroughly and ensure any group follows ethical practices.

• Contact the national Rottweiler club for your country (listed in the table above) — they often maintain rescue contacts or can refer you to reputable groups.
• In the UK/Europe: Search for ‘Rottweiler Welfare’ or ‘Rottweiler Rescue’ + your region, or inquire via the British Rottweiler Sports Dog Club or Rottweiler Breed Council.
• General resources: Petfinder.com, Adoptapet.com, or equivalent local sites; or search ‘Rottweiler rescue [your city/region]’.
• Many clubs and rescues emphasize responsible ownership, spay/neuter, and health testing (hips, elbows, eyes, cardiac, etc.).
