#50 Shenandoah Wolves

[Verse]

Young Gunther tastes the salt and iron on the wind,

Eyes like burning embers where the ancient ridges bend.

Old Magnus lies beneath the rowan tree so grand,

Voice like rolling thunder rolling o’er the stolen land.

“We ain’t stray curs that wander lost and alone,

We’re blood of the clan that walked these hills before the stone.

Though fewer now, the fire’s still in our veins,

Shenandoah wolves — we’ll never break these chains!”

[Chorus]

Hunting bands ride out — fifteen to twenty strong!

Lieutenants lead the chase with tooth and claw and song!

Alpha calls the tune, wisdom in his crown,

The whole pack moves as one when the wild moon thunders down!

[Verse]

We don’t lie idle by the fire’s dying light,

We run the ridges sharp and swift through day and night.

Lieutenants plan the ambush, keep the warriors tight,

Every soul returns with belly full beneath the pale moonlight.

Gunther yipped with joy, “Was that the great stag’s fall?”

Magnus grinned through bloodied fangs, “Aye, lad — that’s the clan’s true call!”

Yet every lieutenant bends the knee to one alone,

The Alpha’s iron will that guards the pack and throne.

He bears the weight of every life upon his scarred old back,

Still stands tall and steady on the wild untrodden track.

[Bridge]

Shenandoah ridges stretch for hundreds of miles wide,

We ghost past human fires on the wild untamed side.

Through hollows dark and misty, old clan blood still burns,

Tomorrow calls us onward — the wild forever turns.

[Chorus]

Alpha leads, lieutenants prowl, the pack endures the trial,

Fifty strong with hearts of fire — we walk the Celtic mile!

From ancient rowan groves to the river’s icy gleam,

Young Gunther learned the old code… now he howls the warrior’s dream!

Blood of the old clan — never break, never bend,

Shenandoah warriors… ’til the very end!.
